Director of Photography: Emory Stapleton (Auburn University)

Prior to founding TVP in 1987, Emory spent 10 years in the television news business in various positions. He began his career at WSFA-TV in Montgomery, Al as a News Editor and later became a weekend Reporter/Photographer. In 1979 he became Reporter/Photographer  for WTVM-TV in Columbus, Georgia. Emory returned to WSFA-TV in 1981 as  News Editor and later worked in the Sports Department as Weekend Sports Anchor. At the same time, he was a monthly columnist for the national publication Hockey Magazine covering hockey throughout the southeast. Emory’s next position was as News Producer for WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Al writing and producing the 5pm & 10pm newscasts. In 1984 he moved to Greenville to join the staff at WYFF-TV where he was Producer/Photographer for the feature news segment, Just Four Fun.  In 1987 Emory decided a career change was needed and founded TVP. Emory is responsible for the daily operations of TVP as well as serving as Director of Photography.  He has been recognized for his photography work with numerous local, regional and national awards.
